Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
We’ve compiled answers to some of the most common questions about our programs, locations, and philosophy. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact us.
- What age groups do you accept?
We welcome children from independent walking to 3 years in our nursery classes and 3-7 year-olds in our kindergarten classes. Our nursery and kindergarten programs are tailored to each developmental stage.
- What makes your programs unique?
Our approach combines nature-based learning, experience-driven education, and a warm, family-like environment. Children explore the outdoors, interact with animals, and develop a lifelong love for learning.
- Do You Use English in Your Programs?
Yes, English is the primary language we use throughout the day with children. However, we understand the importance of allowing children to express themselves fully, especially during free play. While English is encouraged, we do not restrict children from using their mother tongue during free play, as these moments are vital for their social and emotional development.
This balanced approach ensures children feel supported in their native language while naturally building confidence and proficiency in English through daily activities, interactions, and learning experiences.
- Can I visit the campus before enrolling?
Absolutely! We encourage families to schedule a tour at any of our locations to experience the environment firsthand.
- How do you ensure children’s safety?
Safety is our top priority. Each campus is equipped with secure facilities, trained staff, and robust safety protocols for outdoor and indoor activities.
- Do you provide meals?
Yes, we offer healthy, balanced meals prepared fresh 4 times a day: breakfast, morning fruit snack, hot lunch and afternoon snack. Special dietary needs can be accommodated upon request.
- What is your admissions process?

- Are there extracurricular activities?
Yes! We offer a variety of extracurricular programs, including swimming, movement development classes, different sport or art-related activities or English as a second language, or Japanese class for the Japanese children.
- How do you communicate with parents?
We maintain an open line of communication through:
- Daily conversations with the teachers at morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up
- A dedicated, GDPR compatible mobile app for real-time updates, event reminders and weekly summaries
- Regular updates via email and educational newsletters
- Parent-teacher meetings
- Family events (‘Back-to-School’ Garden Party, Halloween Trick or Treat, Christmas Party, Parents’ Day, International Day, Graduation/’End-of-the-Year’ Garden Party, Coffee Mornings, etc)
- What are your teacher-to-child ratios?
We maintain a maximum teacher-to-child ratio of 1:4 in our nursery classes and 1:8 in our kindergarten classes, ensuring personalized attention and a nurturing environment for every child.
- How do you support children’s transition to school?
Our program focuses on preparing children for the next step in their educational journey by fostering independence, curiosity, and critical thinking. Over the past 15 years, 97.8% of our children have been admitted to their first-choice schools, whether Hungarian or international.
- How do you handle settling-in for new children?
We offer a gradual settling-in period where children and parents can adjust to the nursery or kindergarten environment at their own pace. This includes shorter initial sessions and close caregiver interaction to ensure a smooth transition.
- What languages do your staff speak?
Our staff is multilingual, with English as the primary language of communication. Many of our teachers also speak Hungarian and other languages, ensuring a culturally sensitive and inclusive environment.
- What is your approach to discipline?
We use positive discipline strategies focused on guidance and understanding rather than punishment. Our goal is to help children learn self-regulation, empathy, and respect for others.
- What does a typical day look like?
Our daily schedule is designed to balance structured learning, free play, outdoor exploration, and rest periods. Activities include nature walks, arts and crafts, music, and movement, along with caregiver-led educational sessions.
- Do you accommodate children with special needs?
Yes, we work closely with families to understand each child’s unique needs and provide the necessary support. This includes creating individualized plans and collaborating with specialists when required.
- How do you ensure inclusion for children from diverse cultural backgrounds?
We celebrate diversity through multicultural activities, inclusive teaching practices, and respect for each family’s traditions and values. As an international kindergarten, we embrace a variety of cultural celebrations, where holidays like March 15 (Hungarian National Holiday) and Thanksgiving coexist harmoniously. The International Day is one of the biggest hits of the year, where our families are sharing their homeland’s culture by bringing their traditional food, wearing traditional costumes, and playing games together. This family event is a favourite for many of us! Special programs, such as Japanese classes for our Japanese students, also ensure children stay connected to their heritage.
- Are parents allowed to participate in activities?
We encourage parent involvement through family events, open days, and workshops. Parents are also welcome to join certain activities, cultural celebrations and family events.
