The most important thing for children is play, because it is their most natural form of learning. They understand the world through experience – as they explore, try, create, and try again, they unknowingly acquire the skills that will accompany them throughout their lives.
Our most important task is to teach through play.
We aim to challenge every child, at their level, every day, so that they learn happily and through play. In the forest, interacting with animals, while spotting, or sometimes in the classroom, collaborating with others, we prepare them to experience their 3-4 years with us as happy children and to successfully continue their journey in the international or Hungarian school of their parents’ choice.
"Mom, I’ve always known English," my little boy said after year 1. He only started to learn at daycare. :) He didn’t even realize he was learning. This is what we aim to achieve with math, card games, strength activities, sports, and throughout the day.
Teaching through play requires more effort from teachers than the strictly academic system, with testing in classrooms from the age of four, because our children are unique and, due to their international background, they will go on to various types of institutions.
Therefore, our program is also unique, play-based, green, and family-oriented, built on getting to know the children’s individual needs as well as possible, while for the past 15 years, almost all of our children have been accepted into their first-choice institutions at the end of the program.

The kindergarten classes in three buildings accept children aged 3-7 from all over the world.
The institutions are truly child- and family-centric where teachers and parents are working closely together on each child’s development. Playing is essential during a child’s first years, first learning experiences must be embedded into playing. A school that is able to function as ’A Home from Home’, can really give a good start to your child’s education and form a strong base to their further academic learning.

We recruit staff based on their qualifications, skills, experience and attitude. Our class sizes are small, allowing our teachers to pay attention to the children’s needs.

All the locations belonging to our UTR family are situated in the 2nd district of Budapest, on the Buda side. Being surrounded by the Buda Hills, the children can spend lots of valuable time out in the nature: in our gardens, in the nearby parks, or in the woods. Thanks to the beautiful surrounding environment, a so called ‘Forest School’ program has become part of our curriculum.
