Our Team

Under the Rainbow is an English nursery and kindergarten, supported across three campuses by experienced educators. From our founder and Head of Pedagogy to each campus leader, every one of them brings deep experience in bilingual early childhood education, and together they share one commitment: nurturing each child’s confidence, curiosity, and independent growth.

Emese is the founder and Institution Director of Under the Rainbow. Since opening the school’s doors 17 years ago, she has built UTR into a community of three campuses serving families from 67+ nationalities. With a degree in English Studies from the University of Pécs (2003) and 17 years of leadership experience in bilingual early childhood education, Emese combines vision with operational depth. Her commitment to native-speaker teaching, the integration of ten international pedagogical methods, and an emotionally secure learning environment has shaped UTR’s distinctive approach.

Andrea has been part of Under the Rainbow for 8 years and now serves as Head of Pedagogy, overseeing the curriculum across all three campuses. She holds a kindergarten teaching degree from Tessedik Sámuel Főiskola (2006), a Master’s in Educational Leadership from BME (2017), and an Institution Leadership qualification (2023). Andrea leads the integration of UTR’s ten pedagogical pillars — including the Pikler Method, Project-Based Learning, and Conductive Pedagogy — into daily practice. Her work ensures consistency of approach across our nursery and kindergarten programs while supporting teachers’ ongoing professional development.

Marjo leads our Torockó campus and brings a deep specialization in English as a Second Language to the role. She holds both a BSc and MSc in ESL from Colegio de San Agustin, complemented by TESOL and Special Education (SpEd) certifications. With 2.5 years at Under the Rainbow, Marjo combines academic expertise with hands-on classroom leadership. Her approach prioritizes individualized attention for diverse learners and the structured development of English language skills in an immersive, play-based environment. She works closely with her team to ensure each child’s social, emotional, and linguistic growth.

Ildikó has been part of the Under the Rainbow team for 7 years and stepped into the Campus Leader role at Feketerigó in September 2025. Her path combines an unusually broad foundation: Aerobic Instructor qualification from the Hungarian University of Sport Science (2001), Kindergarten Teacher degree from AVKF (2005), and Institution Leadership qualification from BME (2025). She also brings 11 years of London-based experience as a Kindergarten Teacher in international schools. At UTR she integrates this combined expertise — pedagogical depth, movement development knowledge, and international school practice — into the daily life of our largest campus.

After a decade-long career in international relations and marketing, becoming a parent ignited Anett’s passion for early childhood education. This led her to BISB (British International School Budapest), where she spent 3 years, followed by a year working with toddlers. Anett has been part of the Under the Rainbow team for 3 years, first as a Nursery Teacher and now as Campus Leader. She holds an International Relations Specialist degree from Oxford Brookes University (IBS, 2010) and a Marketing Diploma from the International Advertising Association (2010), supplemented by MACSKE training in nursery service provision and the recognition of atypical developmental trajectories in 0-3 year-olds. Having grown up in international schools herself, Anett deeply values UTR’s diverse community.
