Located at Feketerigó utca 20, this is the Under the Rainbow mother-house — where our programme started in 2009, and where you’ll find both our English-language nursery (from 18 months) and kindergarten (ages 3–7). The house is led by Ildikó Balogh, who has been with UTR for 7 years following 11 years of teaching experience in London. The Feketerigó building’s enclosed garden and quiet street setting offer a family-feel atmosphere; nursery and kindergarten children spend much of the day on shared outdoor activities. Our Torockó utca 6/b location offers English-language nursery (from 18 months) and kindergarten (ages 3–7) in the more central, well-connected part of Budapest’s 2nd district. The house is led by Marjo Abellar, who has been heading the Torockó team for 2.5 years; she holds BSc + MSc degrees in ESL (English as a Second Language) from Colegio de San Agustin, alongside TESOL and Special Education (SpEd) certifications. The Torockó house provides a small-group, intimate setting where children receive strong native-English-speaker support and personalised attention throughout both their nursery and kindergarten years. Our Levél utca 6 location is Under the Rainbow’s newest house, opened in 2023, also offering English-language nursery (from 18 months) and kindergarten (ages 3–7) in Budapest’s 2nd district. The house is led by Anett Éliás, who joined UTR 3 years ago after 3 years at the British International School Budapest (BISB). She holds degrees from Oxford Brookes University (IBS) and IAA (Marketing, 2010), and has MACSKE nursery and 0–3 early childhood development specialisations. The Levél house features a pedagogical approach specifically tuned to the early years — particularly the gentle transition through infant and nursery stages. Address: 1023 Budapest, Levél utca 6.
Under the Rainbow offers the same English-language programme across all three of our Buda II. district locations: 10 internationally recognised pedagogical methods integrated through play — Project-Based Learning, Forest School, Animal-Assisted Education, the AI Detective programme, and more.
